Ducking Stool: More of a trial by fire type of device, rather than a torture device. Ducking stool was used to trial people accused of witchcraft. The victim was tied to the chair and lowered to water. If they choked to death, they will be cleared of accusations of witchcraft. If they survived they were burned at the stake as punishment for the sin of witchcraft.
